Goodyera macrantha is
a perennial orchid species inhabiting evergreen forests; its stems
scrawl sideways, and their upper portions grow diagonally upwards to
4-10cm in height. Leaves, some in number, are of alternate
phyllotaxis; approximately 3cm in length, their surface velvety, and
some white spots exist along the veins. Shoot apex generally sets
two flowers, roughly 3cm in size, with red-tinged white petals.
Flowers are semi-open, lips somewhat short, and the tips curl down
circularly. Bloom time: July-August. |
