Hedyotis diffusa var. longipes is
a small, delicate annual herb that grows in wetlands or on ponds'
edges. Stems branch at basal portions and extend diagonally upward,
10-20cm long, or trail themselves on the ground. Leaves are 1-3cm
long and 1.5-3mm broad, in a wide linear to narrow lanceolate shape.
Peduncles measure 5-8mm long, sharp calyx teeth open slantingly, and
about 2mm across. Corollas are cleft in four. Bloom time:
August-September. |
