Hemerocallis fulva var. kwanso /
Yabukanzou ヤブカンゾウ
Hemerocallis fulva var. kwanso
is a perennial found on roadsides, riverbanks,
or forest edges. The roots, here and there, significantly swell in a
spindle way. Leaves are broad, linear, and 40-60cm in length, with a
width of 2.5-4cm. Flower stalks reach 0.8-1m in height and bear a
few orange-red, double-petaled flowers; the stamens and pistils
position themselves within the petals. Floral tubes measure 2cm in
length. Bloom time: July-August.
