|Inhabiting sandy soil in
seashores, Heteropappus hispidus var. arenarius branches out
from the base of the plant, which crawls on the ground then upper
parts extend upwards. Leaves on the stems are 2-2.5cm in length,
8-9mm in width, and are thick and in the shape of a spatula.
Flowers, light blue-purple, each approximately 3.5cm in diameter,
singly come on the branch tips. Bloom time: September-October.
