They inhabit sandy soil on
seashores; Heteropappus hispidus var. arenarius branch
out from the bases of the plants, which crawl on the ground and then
extend upwards. Leaves on the stems are 2-2.5cm in length and 8-9mm
in width, have a thick texture, and are in the shape of a spatula.
Flowers, light blue-purple, each approximately 3.5cm in diameter,
singly put themselves on the branch tips. Bloom time: July-October. |
