Hieracium umbellatum is
a perennial herb of 0.3-1.2m in height growing in moist parts in
mountainous regions. Rosettes and leaves on the lower legs have gone
when in flower, and the other leaves on the upper parts are of
alternate phyllotaxis and in a long-oblong-like lanceolate shape
with pointed tips. There exist a small number of sharp serrations on
the margins. The flower heads, yellow, approximately 3cm in
diameter, consist only of ligulate flowers. Bloom time:
August-September. |
