Hosta capitata
is a perennial herb with a height of 40-60cm in damp limestone
areas. Leaves are in a rosette way, 7-16cm long, in the shape of a
broad oval, and not glossy, with swellings on the back surfaces and
purple dots at the bases of petioles. Flower stalks erect, with
striates, and the flowers set themselves in racemes, with bracts at
the bases. Corollas are bell-shaped, purple-light purple, with six
4-5cm long perianth segments. The flowers open in the morning and
wither in the evening. Bloom time: June-July. |
