Hypochoeris radicata is
a European perennial herb that grows wild in fields, grasslands,
roadsides, or vacant lots. Leaves, including radical ones, vary from
non-cleft to pinnately deep cleft. Flower stalks grow to 50cm or
more in height and branch in one to three upper parts. Flower heads
are yellow and 3-4cm in diameter. Achenes have dense upward
prickles, and pappuses are plumous. Bloom time is June-September. |
