Imperata cylindrica is
a monocotyledonous perennial herb 30-80cm tall and seen everywhere.
The leaves are 20-50cm long, 0.7-1.2cm wide, and linearly shaped
with sandy margins. Inflorescences are 10-20cm long and cylindrical;
spikelets measure approximately 4mm long, with densely sericeous
bases and two stamens. Bloom time: May-June. |
