Isachne globosa, a
perennial herb 30-50cm tall, grows in ditches, paddies, or
wetlands. Rhizomes crawl long beneath the ground and stem branches
sparsely at lower parts. Leaves, the phyllotaxis is alternate, are
4-7cm long, 3-8cm wide, and in narrow lanceolate shape.
Inflorescences are 3-6cm long, in the form of a cone; their branches
are slender, with many spikelets tinged pale green or purple-brown.
Pedicels have bulged with glands. Bloom time: Bloom time:
