Koelreuteria paniculata
is a deciduous, gray-barked tree found in
sunny places, often cultivated at temples, growing to 10m in height.
Leaves are of alternate phyllotaxis, each imparipinnate compound,
and the leaflets consist of 3-7 pairs, in an oval shape, 25-35 cm in
length, with margins serrated. Some segments cut themselves in
entirely afresh. The stems are erect, 15-40cm long, with panicles of
many small golden-yellow flowers. Bloom time: July-August. |
