Lamium purpureum,
a native of Europe, is a biennial herb growing wild everywhere in
the country; stems are square and rise to 10 to 25cm in height.
Leaves are oppositely arranged,1.5-3cm in length, in an
orbicular-ovate shape, with obtuse serrations on margins and
prominent small veins forming a network on surfaces. The leaves on
the upper portion crowd, tinging red-purple. Flowers, labiate,
approximately 1cm long, closely set themselves on leaf axils.
