Lespedeza tomentosa is
a perennial that grows in sunny grasslands, dams, and the like, with
yellow-brown obliquely upward vellus hairs. Stems erect, branched at
the upper parts, reaching about 150cm tall, with alternate leaves
with three leaflets and 2-3cm long peduncles. The leaflets are long,
oblong to oval-like, oblong; the terminal ones measure 3-6cm long
and 1.5-3cm wide, with margins with a bit of involution and veins
projecting. Many yellow-white tinging flowers set themselves in
masses at an axil. Bloom time: July-September. |
