Ligustrum tschonoski,
a deciduous shrub of 1-3m in height, branches well and has short
hairs on new shoots. Leaves are opposite: 2-5cm long, 1-2cm wide,
oval-like, oblong to rhombus-like oval, thin texture, not glossy,
with generally thick hairs on lower surfaces, but the quantity is
variable, and entire margins. Branch tips emerge racemose-like
panicles, and flowers are 0.6-0.7cm long and white; corollas are
cleft into four. Fruit, 0.7-0.8cm long, spherical, matures to
black-purple. Bloom time: June-July. |
