Lindernia antipoda var. grandiflora is annual in paddy
fields, wetlands, etc. Stems branch to make stocks and grow to
10-20cm tall. Leaves are petiole-less and oblong-shaped, with
pointed tips and 5-8 sharp serrations on the margins. The leaves
hold in two at mid-ribs. Stem tips set light purple-red flowers; the
central segment of 3-cleft lower lips becomes longer than the
others. Flatten-like flower shape characterizes these plants. Bloom
time: August-October. |
