Lindernia antipoda var.
grandiflora is annual in paddy fields, wetlands, etc. Stems
branch to make stocks and grow to 10-20cm tall. Leaves are
petiole-less and oblong, with pointed tips and 5-8 sharp serrations
along the margins. The leaves hold in two at the midribs. Stem tips
set light purple-red flowers; the central segment of the 3-cleft
lower lip becomes longer than the others. Flatten-like flower shape
characterizes these plants. Bloom time: August-October. |
