Liriope platyphylla
is a perennial herb occurring in the shade of a tree, with
radical leaves 30-60cm long and 0.8-1.2cm wide, linear in shape.
Flower stalks grow to 30-50cm tall and set many small light purple
flowers in racemes, with perianth lobes measuring 4mm long. Seeds,
6-7mm, are spherical, glossy, and black. Bloom time: August-October.
