Litsea coreana: An
evergreen tree that grows as tall as 22m, mingling in Machilus,
Pasania, or Quercus forests in warm districts, with gray-black
barks. The barks become round laminas and fall off by themselves,
and the marks make white-spotted patterns that associate with a
deer. Leaves put themselves on the upper parts of branches; blades
measure 5-9cm long,1.5-4cm wide, oblanceolate to obovate-like long
oblong, with tips obtuse, bases broadly cuneate, margins entire,
thin and leathery, and glossy surfaces. Dioecious: Pale-yellow
flowers gather together at the leaves sides. The inflorescences lack
peduncles, with four involucral bracts. Bloom time:
August-September. |
