Lycopus ramosissimus var. japonicus: A
perennial that inhabits wetlands and grows to 15-60cm in height.
Stems stand erect, branching only a little. Leaves are of opposite
phyllotaxis, 2-4cm long, 1-2cm wide, in a lanceolate to ovate shape,
with coarse serrations on margins. Axils generate and put white, 3mm
long white labiate flowers; the calyxes are cleft halfway, and the
lobes are narrowly triangular with tips with spines. Stamens are two
in number. Bloom time: August-October. |
