Monotropa uniflora
is a saprophyte occurring in forests in
mountainous areas; the whole is white and measures 10-30cm in
height. The scale leaves are oval-oblong. The stem tops bear a
single flower; the sepals and petals are five in number each. Bloom
time: August-September.
