Oenanthe javanica, a
perennial herb occurring in paddies, ditches, streams, or wetlands,
grows to 20-50cm in height and propagates by sprouting buds from
nodes of extended rhizomes. Leaves are mono- to biternate compound
leaves and tender; leaflets are ovate, with coarse serrations on
margins. Compound umbels emerge from stem tips, and many white
flowers bloom. Bloom time: July-August. |
