Ophiopogon jaburan
is a perennial herb growing in colonies in coastal forests. Linear
and glossy leaves are thick, measuring 30-80cm in length and 1-1.5cm
in width. Flower stalks, rising to 30-50cm in height, are
fascinating, with some narrow wings. The flowers, arranged in
racemes, are numerous and white or pale purple. Bloom time:
July-September. |
