Oreorchis patens
is a perennial orchid species that inhabits
damp forests in mountainous regions. The oval-shaped pseudobulbs are
located underground, and one to two leaves and one flower stalk
emerge from each. The leaves are lanceolate-shaped, measuring
20-30cm in length and 1-3cm in width. The stalks are 30-40cm in
height, with numerous flowers in a racemose inflorescence. Sepals
and petals are lanceolate, approximately 1cm long, with lips of the
same size and white and red-purple dots. Bloom time: May-June.
