Oreorchis patens is a perennial orchid species inhabiting
damp forests in mountainous regions; the oval-shaped pseudobulbs
exist underground, and 1-2 leaves and one flower stalk emerge from
each. The leaves are lanceolate-shaped, 20-30cm in length, 1-3cm in
width, and the stalks measure 30-40cm in height, with many flowers
in a racemose portion. Sepals and petals are lanceolate,
approximately 1cm long, with lips of the same size and white and
red-purple dots. Bloom time: May-June. |
