Parentucellia viscosa is an annual found on roadsides,
riverbanks, etc., with 50-70cm stems erecting straight up without
branching, with alternate, relatively thick, simple leaves on them.
Leaves lack leaf stalks; the base embraces the stems. P. viscosa
bears single 2-3.5cm wide, lip-shaped, yellow flowers at the axils
on the upper part of the stems. According to reports, this species
is native to Europe. Bloom time: May-June. |
