Parentucellia viscosa is
an annual found on roadsides, riverbanks, or the like. 50-70cm stems
erecting straight up without branching, with alternate, relatively
thick, simple leaves on them. Leaves lack leafstalks, the base
embracing the stems. P. viscosa bears single 2-3.5cm wide,
lip-shaped, yellow flowers at axils on the upper part of the stems.
Reportedly, this species originates in Europe. Bloom time: May-June. |
