Paris tetraphylla
is a perennial herb inhabiting forests in mountainous regions. Stems
are 15-40cm in height, with 4-10cm long four petiole-less leaves in
whorls on the tops; stem tips emerge 3-10cm long peduncles and set
green flowers facing upward; outer perianth segments, 4 in number,
are in a lanceolate shape, 1-2cm in length and inner perianths exist
not. Stamens are 8 in number. With pistils, stigmas cleft themselves
in four. Bloom time: May-August. |
