Pellionia
radicans is a dioecious perennial herb inhabiting damp forests
or rocky places; stems crawl on the ground to grow to 10-20cm in
length. Leaves measure 2-5cm long, in the shape of a distorted oval,
with few hairs. Male inflorescences are cymose; small and spherical
females set themselves on axils. Bloom time: April-May.
