Pennisetum alopecuroides is a perennial height of
50-80cm, commonly growing in sunny grasslands, with stems making
many stocks in clusters. Leaves gather at the bases,30-70cm long,
4-7mm wide, linear-shaped, and stiff, and the surfaces feel sandy.
Leaf sheaths are flat, with long hairs on the top ends.
Inflorescences are 10-20cm long and 2cm wide, cylindrical, with many
spikelets with dark purple bristles at the bases. Bloom time:
August-November. |
