Persicaria muricata, a perennial height of approximately
50cm, the stems have small downward prickles and crawl on the ground
at the lower parts. Leaves are of alternate phyllotaxis, each 3-8cm
in length, oval or broadly lanceolate, the tip pointed, with
truncate or heart-shaped bases. Approximately ten flowers come on
the branch tops: the peduncles have glandular hair, and the
perianths are deeply cleft into five - upper parts red, and the
lower ones white. Bloom time: September-October. |
