Persicaria thunbergii var.
oreophila has an annual height of 30-100cm and occurs in
forests in hilly districts, with erect stems and downward-pointing
prickles. Leaves are alternate, ovally triangles and 5-8cm in
length. Three to eight flowers emerge from the branch tips in
inflorescences, each with a white perianth. Bloom time:
August-October.
