Polygonatum odoratum var. plurifolium
is a 30-60cm tall perennial herb in grasslands, fields, and
mountains. Its stems have ridges, and the upper half curves like a
bow. Leaves are of alternate phyllotaxis, 5-10cm long, 2-5cm wide,
in a long-oblong to narrow long-oblong shape, with almost no
petioles, and surfaces generally tingeing white powder. Axils droop
1-2 white tubular flowers downward. Flowers measure 1.5-2cm long,
tips tinging green. Sap fruit is 1cm across, spherical, and matures
to black-purple in Autumn. Bloom time: April-May. |
