Potentilla freyniana is a perennial herb, 15-30cm in height, found in sunny locations in fields and mountains, having fleshy rhizomes underground and sending out runners on the ground. Leaves comprise three leaflets, and the ones on the runners are a bit smaller. Flowers are yellow, 1.5-2cm in diameter.
