Pseudolysimachion schmidtianum
ssp. senanense occurs in weathered rocks, a volcanic rock
referred to as dacite, in full sunlight at 1,100 meters from sea
level in this prefecture. It grows to approximately 15cm in height
and bears several bluish-purple flowers in inflorescences; the
flowers bloom facing sideways. Leaves are of alternate phyllotaxis,
3-4cm long, with double-serrations on margins, tips pointed. Bloom
time: May-June. |
