Ranunculus sceleratus is
a biennial herb, 30-50cm in height, found in paddies or ditches.
Leaves deeply cut themselves in, and the lobes do anew. Flowers are
yellow, 0.8-1cm in diameter; receptacles grow larger and become a
0.8-1cm-long oblong, resulting in aggregate fruit of achenes. Bloom
time: April-May.
