Rohdea japonica is an
evergreen perennial herb found in forests in temperate climate
regions, with thick rhizomes extending sideways or obliquely with
many robust root systems. Leaves are radical, 30-50cm in length, in
the shape of a lanceolate, with hairless, glossy, thick texture, and
upper parts gradually becoming pointed and lower legs tapering
toward the bases. Scapes, 8-18cm, set racemes with dense flowers.
The flowers are in touch with each other facing sideways. Bloom
