Saussurea gracilis is
a perennial herb found in grasslands in mountainous regions; the
stems are slender, 10-30cm in height. Leaves are of alternate
phyllotaxis; radical leaves still exist in flowering time in a
rosette way and have long petioles like the lower part's leaves.
Blades are triangular, 6-11cm long, and tips pointed. Many white
hairs are observable on the backside. Bracts measure 8-14mm in
width. Bloom time: August-October. |
