Saxifraga cortusaefolia
is a perennial herb that grows on damp cliffs in mountainous
regions. Radical leaves are in clusters, with 5-15cm long petioles;
the blades are circular kidney-shaped, 5-15cm in length, 4-10cm in
width, cleft in 7-11, with bases cordate, and sparse hairs on the
whole. Scapes measure 10-15cm in height, set many flowers in close
inflorescences. The white petals are 5 in number, the upper three
are small, and the lower two are long-oblong-shaped, 1.2-2.5cm in
length. Stamens are 10, and anthers orange-yellow. Bloom time:
