Scrophularia duplicatosserata is a perennial found in
forest floors in hilly districts, with rhizomes becoming fat,
sending out fine roots. Stems are soft, have four ridges on them,
are erect, and are 0.4-1m in height. Leaves are of opposite
phyllotaxis, each ovate-oblong, 6-11cm long, with 1-3cm long
petioles, margins being sharp double serrate. Stem tips set panicles
in which 7-9mm long dark purple flowers (corollas) come out. Bloom
time: July-September. |
