Scutellaria indica var. satokoae is
a perennial herb found in damp forest edges. With a square
cross-section of stems, 10-20cm in height. Leaves are alternate,
20-25mm long, 15-25mm wide, triangular-ovate shape, with tips
obtuse, bases shallowly heart-shaped, and margins shallowly
serrated. The uppersides and backsides are densely-haired; there are
glandular spots on the bottom sides. Axils on the upper parts of the
stems set red-purple to purple flowers, making 18-19cm long
inflorescences. Lower lips generally have small purple taches. Bloom
