Scutellaria muramatsui
is a perennial herb that inhabits rocky areas, which may become
submerged in water during flooding of mountain streams. Stems that
originate from long underground stems grow to 10-30cm in height,
with short, downward-facing hairs. Leaves are in the shape of an
ovate or triangular ovate, 2-3.5cm long, with undulate serrations on
margins and sparse hairs on surfaces. Inflorescences are 3-5cm long
and set purple labiate flowers with lower lips that have no purple
dots. Bloom time: May-June. |
