Scutellaria muramatsui is
a perennial herb that inhabits rocks, which may submerge in water
when flooding along mountain streams. Stems from long underground
stems grow to 10-30cm in height, with short downward hairs. Leaves
are in the shape of an ovate or triangular-ovate, 2-3.5cm long, with
undulate serrations on margins and sparse hairs on surfaces.
Inflorescences of 3-5cm long set purple labiate flowers with lower
lips with no purple dots. Bloom time: May-June. |
