Solanum ptychanthum is an annual, originating in North America, naturalized in various districts. Stems are slender, spread sideways. Generally, leaves are narrow and thin. Flowers, light purple or white, measure 2-5mm in diameter. Sap fruit, petite, mature in bright black. Bloom time: July-September.
