Spiraea
salicifolia is a deciduous shrub inhabiting wetland; stems
grow dense, 1-2m in height, with short, thick hairs. Leaves are
alternate, in a lanceolate shape, with significantly short petioles,
tips pointed. Branch tops set panicles with light red, approximately
7mm-in-diameter 5-petaled flowers, in which many pistils and styles
bend backward. Bloom time: June-August. |
