Tephroseris pierotii
is a perennial herb inhabiting sunny wetlands in mountain districts,
50-80cm in height, with stems thick and soft. Rosette-like radical
leaves measure 12-25cm in length, 1.5-7cm in width, and the shape of
a spatulate-lanceolate, with thick arachnoid hairs on surfaces.
On-stem leaves are ovate-lanceolate, with sharp ends and bases
embracing the stems. Head flowers, yellow, 3.5-5cm in diameter, come
in corymbs. Bloom time: April-June. |
