Tipularia japonicais
a perennial orchid found on somewhat dry forest floors. Leaves are
single, oval to oblong, 4-7cm long, dark green, with medial veins
that are white, and the back sides have a tinge of purple-brown.
Flower stalks are slender, measuring 15-25 cm in length, and bear
sparsely 5-10 small, light yellow-green flowers tinged with
purple-brown in racemes. Bloom time: May-June.
