Tofieldia japonica is
a perennial herb in high-altitude mountain wetlands; its radical
leaves are linear, 10-40cm in length. Flower stalks, growing to
20-40cm, bear white to light red flowers in inflorescences.
Glandular hair exists on peduncles, and the inflorescence feels
adhesive. Bloom time: August-September.
