Triadenum japonicum, a
30-80cm tall perennial herb, grows in ponds, marshes, or swamps,
with stem bases, generally tinging red-purple. Leaves are 3-7 cm
long, 1-3cm wide, long oblong with clear dots, and turn red in
autumn. Light red flowers are about 1cm in diameter, open in the
afternoon and wither in the evening. Stamens, nine, divide
themselves into three bunches of three. Bloom time:
