Triadenum japonicum, a
30-80cm tall perennial herb, grows in ponds, marshes, or swamps,
with stem bases generally tinging red-purple. Leaves are 3-7 cm
long, 1-3cm wide, long and oblong with clear dots, and turn red in
autumn. Light red flowers are approximately 1 cm in diameter,
opening in the afternoon and withering in the evening. Stamens,
nine, divide themselves into three bunches of three. Bloom time:
August-September. |
