Tricyrtis affinis is
a perennial herb growing to 40-70cm in height in forests in
mountainous regions. Its stem shavings dense downward hairs, the
quantity variable depending on an individual. Leaves measure 8-18cm
in length. Flowers emerge from an axil or shoot apex; there are
red-purple spots on tepals. Bloom time: August-October.
