Tricyrtis macropoda, a perennial plant that reaches a
height of 40-70cm, inhabits fields or forests in mountainous
districts. Its stems are either hairy or nearly hairless. Stem tips
or axils on the upper parts produce corymbs that face upward.
Perianth lobes, with purple speckles, the upper half of which bends
backwards significantly, which characterizes this species. Leaves
are 8-13cm long, oblong, with the bases embracing the stems. Bloom
