Trigonotis
brevipes is a perennial herb that inhabits locations near
mountain streams. Stems are soft, growing to 10- 40 cm in height,
and leaves are 1.5-4 cm long, oblong in shape, with fine hairs on
their surfaces. Like the stems, the leaves feel tender to the touch.
Branch tips emerge with inflorescences and densely set white to
light blue-purple flowers. Corollas measure 2.5- 3 cm in diameter.
Spike tips bend in a scorpion-like way. Bloom time: May-June.
