Typha australis:
Male spikes on the upper parts and female ends on the lower legs are
apart; thus, axes between the two expose themselves, which
characterizes this species. Stems grow to 1.5-2m in height, and
leaves are slimmer than those of another species, Typha latifolia.
Pollen is apart from one another. Bloom time: June-August.
