Typha orientalis:
Male and female spikes stick together and resemble another species,
Typha latifolia, but the difference is minor. Stems are 1-1.5 m in
height, and the leaves are significantly narrower, measuring
approximately 1 cm in width. The male spikes measure 3-9cm, and the
female ends are 10-20cm, about half as long as those of Typha
latifolia. Pollen is apart from each other. Bloom time: June-August. |
