Viburnum phlebotrichumis
is a deciduous shrub with gray-brown barks inhabiting
forests in mountainous regions; it branches well and grows to as
tall as 3 meters. Leaves are opposite, blades being ovate or
oblong-like lanceolate, 4-9cm long, 2-4cm wide, tips pointed, bases
are broadly cuneate or circular, with sharp serrations on margins.
Branch tops give birth to corymbous inflorescences in which white or
red-tinged flowers come. Peduncles measure 2-3cm long, with a pair
of leaves at the bases. Corollas are 6-9mm long, cleft in five, and
open obliquely upwards. The fruit (drupe) is oblong, 5-8mm long, and
matures red in September-November. Bloom time: April-May. |
