Viola betonicifolia var. albescens
is a perennial herb found in moist sections near residential areas,
characterized by its white and fleshy roots. Leaves, spreading
near-horizontally, are oblong-lanceolate, 2-7cm in length. The
leaves in summer are long, triangular, and oblong. Flowers are
variable in color. Petals measure approximately 2.5cm, with the
upper and side petals having hair-like projections. Spurs are short
and fat, around 4cm in length. Bloom time: April-May. |
